Jemez Pueblo Chefs Bring Green Chile Deli Flavors to Rio Rancho Food Court
Jemez Pueblo's Isaiah Martinez stacked ham, bologna and green chile into Rio Rancho's newest deli, earning 3 stars at The Block food court.

Chef Isaiah Martinez and his brother-in-law Richard DeVore of Jemez Pueblo opened That's My Rez Sandwich at The Block in October 2025, bringing green chile-forward deli flavors to Rio Rancho's first shipping-container food court and earning early buzz along the way.
Martinez, a food industry veteran who was looking to strike out on his own, found his opening not behind the wheel of a food truck but inside a shipping container. Lacking the capital for a truck, he negotiated a spot at The Block and launched in October, a stretch that the Albuquerque Journal noted was "hardly an ideal time to launch an outdoor venue." Even so, the shop generated enough attention to earn a 3-star review from the Journal.
The centerpiece of the menu is the Pueblo Deli sandwich, stacked with ham, bologna and green chile. The name of the business traces its identity to Jemez Pueblo, the community of about 2,000 people located just south of Valles Caldera where DeVore is from.
The Block itself has been drawing diners to the Enchanted Hills neighborhood on the north side of Rio Rancho since September 2024. The long-delayed project sits at 7805 Enchanted Hills Blvd. NE, wedged between two shopping centers on the west side of NM-528 near Santa Ana Star Casino. It rounds out a short list of shipping-container dining complexes in the metro area that includes Albuquerque's Green Jeans Food Hall and Tin Can Alley. Other vendors at The Block include Thicc Pizza and Stackers Burgers.
That's My Rez Sandwich is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and has alcohol on the premises. The shop's Instagram is instagram.com/thatsmyrezsandwich.
