Zachary Rosenberg of Santa Fe Arrested on Multiple Charges in Placitas Area
A Santa Fe man faces up to 15 years in prison after police say he burglarized a Placitas home and drove off in the owner's truck on March 12.

Zachary Rosenberg, 36, of Santa Fe, was arrested March 12 on charges of aggravated burglary and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle at a residence on Camino De La Rosa Castilla in Placitas.
The reporting party alerted police that the back window of the residence was open and that no one should be inside the home. When asked whether the call was connected to a stolen truck report, they confirmed it was, saying they had been driving up to the residence when they spotted their father's truck traveling westbound on Highway 165 near Placitas.
Dispatch informed police that the incident might be connected to a previously reported stolen vehicle, and that the calling party had seen the stolen truck at the Speedway gas station in Bernalillo off US 550, according to a criminal complaint filed in court. The Bernalillo Police Department was already investigating the stolen vehicle portion of the call.
After speaking with the caller, officers confirmed the back window was open as well as the side door. The rear garage door appeared to have been tampered with and possibly opened. The area where the stolen truck had been parked showed visible footprints, and a trailer that had been attached to the truck was no longer present.

During a search of the home, police found that suspects had gone through multiple areas, opening closets and dresser drawers.
A Bernalillo Police Department unit located and pulled the vehicle over at mile marker 244, where the driver was identified as Rosenberg.
Rosenberg could face between 9 and 15 years in prison if convicted.
