Blue Jays blank Williston 7-0 behind Martin’s five-point night
Briella Martin had four assists and a goal as Jamestown scored four times in the first 12 minutes and rolled past Williston 7-0.

Briella Martin touched nearly every part of Jamestown’s attack, and the Blue Jays used that kind of control to put Williston away early in a 7-0 shutout at the Nelson Family Bubble at the University of Jamestown.
Jamestown scored four goals in the first 12 minutes on Saturday, April 18, then added three more in the second half to finish with its most complete outing of the season’s stretch so far. The Blue Jays did not just beat Williston, they dictated the tempo from the opening minutes and kept the Coyotes pinned back long enough to turn the match into a runaway.
Martin, a junior forward, finished with five points on one goal and four assists. That stat line showed more than finishing touch. It showed a player seeing passing lanes early, moving the ball quickly, and creating chances before Williston could settle in. Amelia Newman added two goals in the victory, giving Jamestown another finishing option as the Blue Jays spread the scoring across the field instead of leaning on one player alone.
The shutout mattered as much as the margin. A 7-0 score line only comes with a clean defensive performance behind it, and Jamestown’s back line and goaltending held firm while the offense built an early cushion. Once the Blue Jays struck four times in the first 12 minutes, the game shifted from a test to a statement, and Jamestown never allowed Williston a route back in.
The result also gave Jamestown its third straight win, a stretch that should raise expectations around the program as the season moves on. Team conference statistics from WDA Sports listed Martin with 2 goals and 6 assists in conference play, underscoring how central her playmaking has been to the Blue Jays’ attack. Against Williston, that creativity was on full display, and Jamestown looked like a team that had found its rhythm at the right time.
