C TNT Cards’ move into the Jamestown Business Center gave Jamestown a fresh sign of small-business growth, with more room for trading cards, collectibles and the kind of hobby trade that keeps repeat customers coming back. Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors and staff marked the relocation at 300 2nd Ave. NE, Suite 112, where the store now sits inside a building built for steady traffic and mixed-use commerce.

Owned and operated by Darrel Goodroad, C TNT Cards has been part of Jamestown’s retail mix for more than 25 years, according to the chamber directory. The shop specializes in TCG, sports cards, collectibles, currency and memorabilia, placing it squarely in the specialty retail category rather than general merchandise. That matters in a town where many shoppers still compare online pricing or drive out of town for niche products; a store like this keeps that spending local and gives collectors a place to browse, trade and stay connected.

The new location gives the business increased visibility and more space to expand its inventory, while also creating more opportunity to host trades and game events. That shift is important in a market like Jamestown because hobby shops rarely succeed on walk-in traffic alone. They depend on a loyal base, regular trade activity and a sense of community that turns a store into a destination instead of just a sales counter.

The setting may help with that. The Jamestown Business Center spans more than 103,169 square feet and includes office, medical, eye care and restaurant tenants, along with 387 parking stalls. That mix can draw a broader daytime crowd than a standalone storefront, which gives a specialized shop more chances to catch foot traffic from people already in the building for other reasons.

Goodroad’s ties to the business run deep. A May 19, 2022, NewsDakota story said he had owned and operated C/TNT Cards in Jamestown for more than 20 years, underscoring that the relocation is not a startup gamble but an established business reinvesting in a more centralized, professional setting. The chamber directory lists the store’s hours as Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Monday and Sunday closed, and the business can be reached at (701) 269-0781.

For Jamestown, the move is more than a ribbon cutting. It is another example of a long-running local retailer choosing to expand where people already gather, which is exactly how specialty shops keep adding value to a downtown and business-center economy.
