Garnet Krueger, 42-Year Collins Aerospace Employee, Dies at 72
Garnet Krueger spent 42 years at Collins Aerospace in Jamestown before dying March 16 at 72, leaving behind decades of volunteer work with cancer patients.

Garnet Renea Krueger, who spent 42 years as a fixture on the Collins Aerospace floor in Jamestown, died Monday, March 16, 2026. She was 72.
Born April 27, 1953, in Carrington, Krueger was the daughter of Peter J. and Leona May (Myers) Flemmer. She grew up in the central North Dakota landscape she loved, graduating from Pettibone High School in 1972. That same year, on December 8, she married Donald "Donnie" Krueger. The couple settled first in Robinson before moving to Jamestown, where they raised their family and built a wide circle of friends over several decades. In 2022, Garnet and Donnie relocated to Bismarck.
Her career at Collins Aerospace, formerly UTC Aerospace, defined much of her life in Jamestown. Over four decades she held multiple positions, but her presence at the company extended well past any job title. She volunteered with the Employee Association, regularly organizing events that brought colleagues together, and her obituary describes her as "a pillar of the Collins Aerospace team in Jamestown for 42 years" whose "impact went far beyond her daily tasks."

Outside the plant, Krueger spent considerable time volunteering with cancer patients, offering what her obituary called "comfort and support to those in need." She left behind, in the words of her family's tribute, "a legacy of hard work, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family."
Services are scheduled at Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave NE in Jamestown. A prayer service will be held March 23 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service March 24 at 2:00 p.m.
