Jamestown City Council Holds Regular Session at City Hall March 19
Jamestown City Council met at City Hall at 6 p.m. Thursday as the Stutsman County Library hosted a free seed gardening kickoff the same evening.

The Jamestown City Council convened in regular session at City Hall at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, with local radio stations and community news sites running reminders the day of the meeting. No agenda items, votes, or motions from the session were available in advance of publication.
The council meeting shared the evening with several other community gatherings across Jamestown. At the same hour, the James River Valley Library System and NDSU Extension - Stutsman County office kicked off their 2026 Seed Library at Stutsman County Library, 910 5th St. SE. The free event included a salad bar and hands-on instruction in snail gardening and winter sowing with milk jugs.
The Jamestown Rural Fire District held its fourth regular meeting of the year at 7:00 p.m. at Jamestown Rural Fire Hall, 1209 9th St. SE. The Woodchippers Woodcarving Club gathered from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hansen Arts Studio, and TOPS ND 312 held its weekly weigh-in at 8:00 a.m. and meeting at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1000 5th Ave. NE, east door.
Recovery meetings also ran through the evening. Buffalo City Group AA met at 7:30 p.m. at United Presbyterian Church, 302 2nd Ave. SE, entering through the alley door. James River Alcoholics Anonymous held sessions at noon and 8:00 p.m. at the AA Clubhouse, 518 10th Ave. SE. Overeaters Anonymous held its regular weekly step meeting by phone at 5:30 p.m.; those wishing to participate were asked to call 701-320-2386 before meeting time for dial-in details.

On Friday, March 20, Jamestown Overcomers Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1201 4th St. NE.
