Jamestown Public Schools Closed April 3 and 6 for Easter Break

Jamestown Public Schools were closed Friday for Good Friday and will remain out of session Monday, April 6, completing the district's two-day Easter break. All buildings reopen and regular classes resume Tuesday, April 7.

The closure covers every school in the district, including Jamestown High School and the district's middle and elementary schools. Bus routes and routine transportation were suspended Friday and will not run again until Tuesday morning, when schedules return to normal.

The district's 2025-2026 school calendar formally designates Good Friday as a legal holiday, making both April 3 and April 6 official non-instructional days. Jamestown Public Schools circulated a reminder through local community calendars and event listings ahead of the break to help families, child-care providers and working parents arrange coverage before the holiday weekend.
