Jamestown Resident Grace Edna Diede Dies at Age 86

Grace Edna Diede, 86, of Jamestown died Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at SMP Health–Ave Maria Village from natural causes, according to the Jamestown Sun.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave NE in Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating. Interment is scheduled to follow at 3 p.m. at Highland Home Cemetery, located along Highway 281 in Jamestown.

Diede was born April 17, 1939, and spent her life in Jamestown. She was 86 years old at the time of her death. Haut Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements, has indicated that a full obituary with additional biographical detail will follow.

Among the memories posted on the Haut Funeral Home memorial page, friend Holly Mayer Hust wrote: "I have known Grace since I was a young girl. I have many memories of Grace and Larry. They came to my parents lake house in Minnesota in the summer and winter. Always having fun making many memories. She will be missed by many, but needed to be with the love of her life, Larry."
