Jamestown Resident Shirley Sivertson, 90, Dies at Ave Maria Village
Shirley Jean Sivertson, 90, of Jamestown died March 7 at Ave Maria Village; she managed the Holsom Breads Store and raised six children across three North Dakota towns.

Shirley Jean Sivertson, a Jamestown resident who spent her working years behind the counter of a grocery store in Ypsilanti before managing the Holsom Breads Store in Jamestown, died on the evening of March 7, 2026, at SMP Health — Ave Maria Village. She was 90.
Born June 30, 1935, in New Rockford to Raymond and Florence (Anderson) Kraus, Sivertson was the third of four children and attended school in New Rockford. In December 1950, she married Edward Reisnour, and together they raised six children whose lives spread across Steele, Ypsilanti, and Jamestown.
Her working life moved along a similar path through central North Dakota. She worked at the grocery store in Ypsilanti before eventually managing the Holsom Breads Store in Jamestown, a position she held until her retirement. She was a member of St. James Basilica in Jamestown.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave NE, Jamestown. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. the same morning. Lunch will follow the service, with inurnment at Calvary Cemetery later that afternoon, beginning at 1:45 p.m.
The family requests that memorials in Sivertson's name be directed to Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice in lieu of flowers. Haut Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
