Steele Woman Pleads Guilty to Felony Trespass, Gets Supervised Probation
Carlie Ann Schroeder, 30, of Steele climbed through a window to enter someone's home, then pleaded guilty to felony trespass in Jamestown court.

Carlie Ann Schroeder, 30, of Steele pleaded guilty in Southeast District Court to criminal trespass after prosecutors accused her of climbing through a window to enter another person's dwelling on Sept. 14.
Judge Jay Schmitz sentenced Schroeder to 29 days in the Stutsman County Correctional Center, crediting her with 16 days already served. In addition to the jail term, Schmitz placed Schroeder on one year of supervised probation and ordered her to pay $525 in fees: a $400 criminal administration fee, a $100 defense/facility administration fee, and a $25 victim-witness fee.
Schroeder entered guilty pleas to two charges: criminal trespass, a Class C felony, and disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor. Court records describe her as having entered or remained in an individual's dwelling or highly secured premise by climbing through the window.
The felony count carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge carries a maximum of 30 days in prison and a $1,500 fine. Schroeder's sentence fell well below those statutory ceilings, with her actual remaining jail exposure reduced to 13 days after the credit for time served.
The case was adjudicated March 14 in Jamestown.
