Tigirlily Gold to headline St. John’s Academy benefit concert in Jamestown
Tigirlily Gold, the Hazen sister duo that won ACM Best New Group in 2024, will play Jamestown Civic Center Saturday for St. John’s Academy students.

Tigirlily Gold is bringing a hometown draw to the Jamestown Civic Center, and St. John’s Academy is turning that spotlight into a fundraiser for its students. The sister duo, Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh of Hazen, will headline the benefit concert Saturday, April 18, in one of Jamestown’s largest public venues.
The 7 p.m. concert carries more weight than a routine stop on a tour calendar because Tigirlily Gold has North Dakota roots and a growing regional following. The pair has played together since childhood, formed the band in high school and built an audience across North Dakota before moving to Nashville, Tennessee. That background gives the Jamestown booking a local pull that reaches beyond country-music fans and into civic pride.
The show also arrives with a built-in community purpose. St. John’s Academy says all proceeds will support its students, and the event page lists sponsorship opportunities through advancement director Pam Perleberg. The city of Jamestown calendar lists tickets at $40 in advance and $45 at the door, while St. John’s Academy’s concert page lists general admission at $40 plus fees and door tickets at $45 plus fees.
For Jamestown, the benefit concert offers a chance to gather around a recognizable act without leaving town. That matters in a city where major entertainment often means a drive to Fargo, Bismarck or beyond. A headliner with statewide name recognition can help fill the Civic Center, draw families, alumni and country-music fans, and give a local school fundraiser the kind of visibility that smaller acts rarely bring.
Tigirlily Gold’s profile is also strong enough to make the booking stand out. KX News reported in May 2024 that Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh won Best New Group at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and North Dakota Tourism has highlighted the sisters as Hazen natives who are helping showcase the state through music, including their song “Call It Home.” That recognition gives St. John’s Academy a marquee act and gives Jamestown a weekend event with both entertainment value and local impact.
The concert is scheduled to run into the evening, with some listings extending it to 11 p.m., giving the city a full night built around a home-state act and a school cause that reaches well beyond the stage.
