University of Jamestown Wrestlers Claim NCWA Northwest Title With Seven Individual Champions
Isaac Ronquillo pinned his opponent in 45 seconds as UJ wrestling crowned seven individual champions to win the NCWA Northwest title in Pullman.

The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team won the NCWA Northwest Championship at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Washington on March 15, finishing with 148 team points to beat host Washington State's 128.5 in the standings. Seven Jimmies claimed individual weight-class titles and an eighth, Alvy Henderson, reached the 149-pound final before falling to Washington State's Hudson Garcia in a 7-2 decision.
The championship capped what had been a frustrating first season of NSIC competition for the Jamestown program. The Jimmies now carry their momentum into the NCWA National Championships, scheduled for March 26-28 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Isaac Ronquillo set the tone at 125 pounds, pinning Washington's Vinh Nguyen in just 45 seconds in the title match. At 133, Elijah Nose followed with a pin of his own, finishing Keven Martinez of Idaho in 4:20.
Maddox Campbell won the 157-pound crown with a 14-4 major decision over Brandon Stowe of Treasure Valley Community College. At 165, Rocker Aguilar recorded two technical falls on his way to the title, including a 22-6 technical fall over Treasure Valley's Ruben Casner in the championship match.

Colton Schaad needed four wins to capture the 174-pound title and closed the bracket with a 13-1 major decision over Idaho's Robert Lee in the final. Hayden Ramaeker survived a tight 184-pound final, edging James Greene of Idaho 16-13 in a decision. Dane Hartmann closed out the Jimmies' championship run at 197 pounds by pinning Idaho's Ryan Sulpizio in 1:11.
The seven individual titles and 19.5-point margin of victory over Washington State mark the program's most successful showing at the NCWA Northwest level heading into national competition later this month in Louisiana.
