Farmingville Father Arrested After Shotgun Discharge Seriously Injures Him
Geonard Wade, 51, was shot in the arm by his own shotgun after handing it to a teen family member at their Redwood Lane home Saturday night.

Geonard Wade handed a shotgun to a 15-year-old family member inside a Redwood Lane residence in Farmingville Saturday evening, and the weapon discharged, striking Wade in the arm and landing him in serious condition at Stony Brook University Hospital. Police arrested him at the scene.
Suffolk County Police responded to the home at approximately 7:40 p.m. on March 7 and found Wade, 51, with a gunshot wound to the arm. Authorities described his injuries as serious but non-life-threatening. The teenager was not hurt and was released into the custody of family members at the scene.
Wade was charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, a felony, and will be arraigned at a later date. It is not clear whether he has legal representation.
