Suffolk County police are asking for help finding Camron Mosher, a 15-year-old Centereach boy who was last seen at a restaurant on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma around 3 p.m. on April 5. Investigators say he may have traveled into Manhattan, widening the search beyond Suffolk County and onto city streets, transit hubs and other crowded public places.

Mosher is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 130 pounds, with curly blonde hair and hazel eyes. Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are handling the case and continuing to publicize the missing-child alert as the search remains active.

Family members reported Mosher missing on April 8 at about 8:30 p.m., three days after he was last seen in Ronkonkoma. Police have not said how he may have traveled or whether they believe he entered New York City by car, train or another route, but the mention of Manhattan has become a key part of the investigation because it suggests he may have left Long Island entirely.

For Suffolk residents, the case centers on a familiar corridor. Portion Road runs through a heavily trafficked part of central Suffolk, and a missing teen seen there can quickly become hard to trace as the search area expands across neighborhoods, rail lines and bridges into the city. That makes fast tips from people who may have seen Mosher especially important.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or the Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652. Even small details about where Mosher was last seen, who he may have been with, or whether he used public transportation could help detectives narrow the timeline and find him.

The case has drawn renewed attention because Mosher is a minor and has been missing for more than two weeks. Suffolk police continue to seek the public’s help as they work to determine where he went after leaving the Ronkonkoma restaurant on April 5.
