Three separate missing-juvenile reports involving residents of Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch have prompted Riverhead police to seek public help after the youths did not return to the Riverhead facility, officials said.

Dante Tullon, 16, arrived at Riverhead High School on the morning of Feb. 2 but did not return to the Timothy Hill Ranch later that afternoon. Riverhead Police issued a missing-person alert on Feb. 5, 2026 for Tullon. Police describe Tullon as a light-skinned Black male about 6-foot-1 and approximately 220 pounds, with black, curly hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing, and black sneakers. "No foul play is suspected at this time, police said." "Anyone with information about Tullon’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential."

Rashad Scott, 16, left the Timothy Hill facility at 298 Middle Road in Riverhead on June 28 at approximately 9:30 a.m., walking away with an unknown destination. The Riverhead Police Department is requesting the public’s help to locate Rashad Scott, a 16-year old boy who left the Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch on Friday morning and has not returned. Police describe Scott as a Black male, 5-foot-11 and 145 pounds, with a medium complexion, brown eyes and short black hair in dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and tan pants. He has been reported as missing/runaway in the past and is known to frequent the Mastic/Shirley area, police said. "No foul play is suspected at this time, police said." "Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Rashad Scott is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at (631)727-4500."

Gary Velasquez, 16, is the subject of a separate notice after police said he left the Riverhead facility on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at approximately 7:45 p.m. Police describe Velasquez as a Hispanic male about 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds with brown eyes and black braided hair. He was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket and red and black checkered pants. "No foul play is suspected." "Anyone with information is asked to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential."

Timothy Hill Ranch is a residential youth facility that provides housing, supervision and support services for children and teens who cannot live at home. Multiple missing-juvenile notices involving residents of the facility underscore both the challenges residential programs face in supervising at-risk youth and the operational demands placed on local police and social services when escape or runaway incidents occur.

For Riverhead residents, the immediate impact is practical and civic. Parents and school staff should be alert to the appearances and clothing details listed above, and community members who see a youth matching any of the descriptions are asked to contact police rather than approach alone. More broadly, these incidents highlight questions for local policymakers about resourcing for youth services, coordination between residential programs and schools, and strategies to reduce repeat runaways like the prior reports involving Rashad Scott.

Riverhead police continue to investigate these separate cases. For now, the community’s best action is to report credible tips to 631-727-4500 so officers can follow up and families can be reunited with their children.
