Three-Vehicle Crash on Jericho Turnpike Seriously Injures Huntington Station Woman
Alisa Globuschutz, 69, was rushed to South Shore University Hospital after an 18-year-old's Cadillac crossed into oncoming traffic on Jericho Turnpike Sunday.

Alisa Globuschutz, 69, of Huntington Station, suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon when a 2006 Cadillac driven by an 18-year-old West Hills man crossed into westbound traffic on Jericho Turnpike and struck her vehicle head-on, setting off a chain-reaction crash that involved three cars, Suffolk County police said.
The collision occurred near Brooks Avenue in West Hills around 3:04 p.m. on March 22. Police said Richard Bello, 18, of West Hills, was driving the Cadillac eastbound on Jericho Turnpike when he lost control and veered into the westbound lanes, where his vehicle struck Globuschutz's 2022 Honda CR-V head-on. The force of that impact pushed the CR-V into a 2018 Honda Accord also traveling westbound.
Globuschutz was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said. Bello and a 17-year-old passenger in his Cadillac were both taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Accord, Shreya Rana, 21, also of Huntington Station, was not injured; a 45-year-old passenger in her vehicle was also unharmed.

All three vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said. No charges or citations have been announced as of this report.
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
