Sunapee Police Honor Pizza Chef With Appreciation Plaque for Community Support

Sunapee Pizza Chef, the Route 11 fixture that has been feeding the town since 1987, earned a formal thank-you from local law enforcement last week when the Sunapee Police Department presented the restaurant with a plaque of appreciation.

The plaque was given in recognition of the pizzeria's "outstanding generosity and continued support of the Sunapee Police Department and the greater Sunapee community." The presentation took place March 19.

Sunapee Pizza Chef has been serving fresh food since 1987, operating out of 474 NH-11. That nearly four-decade run on one of Sunapee's main corridors has made the restaurant a familiar stop for residents and visitors alike, a tenure that apparently extends well beyond the dining room.

The police department's public recognition signals a relationship built on more than commerce. Sunapee Pizza Chef is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and is closed on Mondays.
