The Katz Amsterdam Charitable Trust awarded a $500,000 grant to Summit County organizations through the Park City Community Foundation on December 3, 2025. On December 3, 2025 the Katz Amsterdam Charitable Trust delivered a $500,000 grant to Summit County organizations via the Park City Community Foundation to strengthen mental health and substance use recovery services across the county. The award continues a partnership that has directed millions of dollars to mountain communities since 2016 and targets immediate gaps in culturally responsive care and crisis response.
The grant is earmarked to support a range of services including culturally responsive care, bilingual mental health services, crisis intervention, youth mental health programming, peer support and expanded access to treatment. Named local beneficiaries include Jacky’s Recovery Support Services, formerly Latino Behavioral Health Services, Jewish Family Service of Utah, People’s Health Clinic, Peace House, Christian Center of Park City, Holy Cross Ministries, Live Like Sam Foundation and the Summit County Recovery Foundation. These organizations will receive funding through the Park City Community Foundation to coordinate services across jurisdictions and populations.
Local providers and leaders characterized the infusion as transformative for recovery services, improving peer support and coordination across providers. For Summit County residents this grant represents expanded options for Spanish language support and culturally attuned care, more resources for youth mental health initiatives and stronger crisis intervention capacity during emergencies. Increased peer support aims to bridge clinical care and community based recovery, especially in remote or underserved areas of the county.

The timing arrives as demand for behavioral health services has grown regionally, and as providers work to reduce wait times and increase outreach to families and individuals affected by substance use. The Park City Community Foundation will allocate the funds to the named organizations, which are preparing program plans and partnerships to deploy the grant dollars locally. Residents seeking services should contact these organizations directly for information on new or expanded programs.
This investment continues a multi year effort to bolster mountain community resilience and access to care. The combination of targeted funding and coordinated delivery across local nonprofits is expected to produce measurable improvements in access to treatment and in the continuity of support for people in recovery.
