Guymon blanks Southeast 14-0, extends winning streak to three
Andres Ozaeta struck out 10 in five scoreless innings as Guymon rolled 14-0, its eighth straight road win and third straight overall.

Andres Ozaeta gave Guymon exactly the kind of performance that can reshape a season, and the Tigers backed it with enough offense to make the night in Oklahoma City feel one-sided from the start. Ozaeta worked five innings without allowing an earned run, gave up only two hits and struck out 10 as Guymon blanked Southeast 14-0, a win that pushed the Tigers to 14-9 and stretched their road winning streak to eight games.
The shutout was more than a clean result. It was another sign that Guymon is winning with depth and balance, not just one hot arm or a single big inning. The Tigers have now won seven games by eight runs or more this season, a run of lopsided victories that suggests the offense can separate from opponents and the pitching can hold that margin once it opens.
Ozaeta’s day stood out on both sides of the ball. His 10 strikeouts were his best of the 2026 season and his highest total since April 2025, and he had not walked more than two batters in any of his three straight appearances. At the plate, he reached base in two of four trips, scored twice and stole a base, adding to a night in which Guymon controlled every phase of the game.
Isaiah Sandoval and Kyle Harmon gave the Tigers the run production that turned Ozaeta’s start into a rout. Sandoval finished 2-for-3 with four RBI, a run and a double, giving him a career-high RBI total in a game that mattered in the standings and in the clubhouse. Harmon went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a run and a double, helping Guymon keep pressure on the Spartans inning after inning. The Tigers had already beaten Goodwell 9-4 on April 7 and Santa Fe South 20-5 on April 6, and the latest result showed that offense traveling well.
Southeast, meanwhile, slipped to 1-19 and saw its losing streak reach 11 games. A rematch was set for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, giving Guymon another chance to extend a three-game winning streak and keep building toward the stretch run with the kind of pitching and run support that can carry into district play and beyond.
