Raleigh Museum Hosts Free Lunchbox Lecture with Chef Cheetie Kumar March 26
Chef Cheetie Kumar, owner of Ajja and operator behind the future Big Cat in East Mordecai, joins a free noon Q&A at 220 Fayetteville St. on March 26.

Chef Cheetie Kumar, whose restaurants have drawn profiles in The New York Times, Southern Living, and The Wall Street Journal, will take questions at the City of Raleigh Museum on Thursday, March 26, in a free lunchtime session open to all ages.
The event runs from noon to 1 p.m. at the museum's downtown location at 220 Fayetteville St. and is part of the City of Raleigh's ongoing Lunchbox Lecture series. The format is an in-depth Q&A covering Kumar's culinary career, food advocacy work, and upcoming projects in the Raleigh restaurant scene.
Kumar is the chef and owner of Ajja and one of the operators behind the future Big Cat restaurant planned for Raleigh's East Mordecai neighborhood. Big Cat has drawn attention from local diners watching the East Mordecai corridor develop, though no opening date has been announced. The Lunchbox Lecture will offer one of the first public forums where Kumar is expected to discuss the project directly.
The City of Raleigh Museum, operated under the city's Parks and Recreation department, announced the event on March 13. Admission is free, no age restrictions apply, and the city lists 919-996-2220 as the contact number for questions about the event.
