Two Men Critically Shot Outside Raleigh Nightclub in Second Shooting in Seven Months
Two men were shot with life-threatening injuries at Patio Nightclub on New Bern Avenue early Sunday — the second shooting at the same club in seven months.

Two men were rushed to a hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds early Sunday after a shooting at Patio Nightclub on the 3900 block of New Bern Avenue, the second time in seven months that gunfire has erupted at the same Raleigh address.
Raleigh Police officers arrived at 1:27 a.m. on March 22 and found "two adult males with gunshot wounds," police spokeswoman LaToya Hughes said in a press release. She described their wounds as life-threatening and confirmed both had been transported to a hospital. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The shooting follows a nearly identical incident at Patio Nightclub last August, when two men were also shot in the early morning hours and taken to the hospital. One of them later died, making that incident fatal. Police have not confirmed whether the two shootings are connected.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department at 919-996-3335 or visit raleighcrimestoppers.org and click "Leave a Tip" in the top right corner of the page.

No suspect information has been released. The identities of the two men wounded Sunday have not been made public, and police had not responded to requests for additional details about the victims as of this reporting.
With one fatal shooting and now two critically wounded in separate incidents at the same nightclub within seven months, questions about violence at the New Bern Avenue address are unlikely to ease until investigators produce answers.
