Wake Forest’s Friday Night on White concert returns April 10
Bounce! Party Band will launch Wake Forest’s spring downtown concert season April 10, with beer sales starting at 5 p.m. and festivities running until 9:30 p.m.

Bounce! Party Band will open Wake Forest’s Friday Night on White season April 10, bringing a free outdoor concert to South White Street from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Wake Forest. The kickoff marks the return of one of the town’s most reliable spring draws, a night built to pull people onto the street, into nearby restaurants and past downtown shops as the weather warms.
The town’s event notice laid out the night in practical terms. Food trucks were scheduled for the Depot Parking Lot and along East Owen Avenue, while downtown restaurants were set to stay open for concertgoers looking for a sit-down meal or a faster bite between sets. Beer sales inside the event footprint began at 5 p.m., and the town said outside coolers and outside alcohol were not allowed except in an approved Wake Forest Social District cup. White Street Brewing also sold tokens for beer at the event, with unused tokens redeemable during normal business hours.
That setup matters for downtown Wake Forest, where Friday Night on White has become more than a music series. The concert gives families a free night out close to home, creates a predictable surge in foot traffic for food vendors and merchants, and turns South White Street into a walkable evening destination. The town said the festivities along South White Street ended at 9:30 p.m., with last call for outside beer at 8:50 p.m., giving residents a clear window for planning dinner, parking and departure.
Friday Night on White was introduced in 2016 and is held on the second Friday night of each month from April through September. The 2026 season continues through Sept. 11, and the town said no sponsorships remained available for this year’s concert series, a sign of the event’s continuing pull in Wake Forest and across Wake County.
CBS17 said its anchors and reporters planned live coverage from downtown Wake Forest for the season opener, adding to the attention on a night that has become a familiar marker of spring in the town’s historic core. For downtown businesses, the concert is one of the clearest signals that the season of evening crowds has begun.
