San Luis Welcomes Second Goodwill Store With Ribbon Cutting, New Jobs

Dozens of San Luis residents lined up along Main Street before 8 a.m. Thursday for the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking Goodwill's second location in the city, a milestone that Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona says will expand both affordable shopping and local employment in the border community.

The new store at 670 Main Street, near the corner of C Street and Main Street, welcomed the crowd with coffee, treats, and a first-150 promotion: anyone among the first 150 people through the doors received a $5 Goodwill gift card. Community members gathered early to take advantage of opening-day deals as local leaders and Goodwill representatives used the ceremony to highlight what the location means for San Luis.

Lea Graham, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Goodwill, addressed the crowd directly. "We are very excited to bring a second Goodwill store to the San Luis community, right here on Main Street," Graham said. "We know that our first store is very popular, and with this second location, you will have even more opportunities to shop, donate, and be part of the community."

Goodwill representatives and local leaders said the store will provide affordable shopping options while also creating job opportunities for residents. Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona, which organized the grand opening event, said the new location will continue the organization's mission of empowering individuals and strengthening the local economy.

San Luis now holds two Goodwill retail locations, a footprint that reflects growing demand in a city where access to affordable goods carries real economic weight for working families. The store at 670 Main Street, San Luis, AZ 85349, opened its doors at 8 a.m. on March 26.
