Yuma Boss Babes Co-Founder Tanya Camarillo Champions Local Women Entrepreneurs
What started as 27 women at a one-time gathering became a 220-member network. Tanya Camarillo built it.

What Tanya Camarillo expected to be a single evening with 27 women turned into something Yuma had apparently been waiting for. The women who attended that first gathering asked for more, and Yuma Boss Babes was born.
Camarillo, a co-founder of the group, appeared on KAWC's What's Up Yuma? on March 11 to discuss how the peer network for local women business owners and entrepreneurs has grown to more than 220 members across Yuma County.
The growth reflects a demand that the founding event made undeniable. That original one-time gathering drew 27 women, and the response from attendees drove the network's expansion into what it is today: a community where members come together to support, encourage, and collaborate with one another on both personal and professional goals.
Yuma Boss Babes has since earned recognition beyond its own membership. The community recently placed 3rd in the Yuma's Best awards, a signal that the group's presence is being felt citywide, not just within its own ranks.
Camarillo brings professional communications experience to the work. In addition to her role with Yuma Boss Babes, she handles social media for ALLO Fiber Arizona, the internet provider that has been expanding its presence in the region.
The March 11 episode of What's Up Yuma? is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pandora, as well as through the KAWC app.
