Yuma City Hall Closing for Thanksgiving, Recycling Schedule Adjusted
The city announced on November 20 that Yuma City Hall will be closed Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday, with normal business hours resuming Monday, December 1. Residents who normally receive Thursday curbside recycling will have collection one day early on Wednesday, November 26, and many city services remain available online.

Yuma city officials notified the public on November 20 that City Hall will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, December 1. The closure affects in person municipal services but does not interrupt all operations, and residents are being urged to plan ahead for payments and service requests.
Residents who normally receive Thursday curbside recycling were scheduled to have collection one day early on Wednesday, November 26. Friday recycling routes were not changed and garbage collection for Monday and Tuesday customers was to proceed as usual. The city encouraged residents to share the early recycling pickup information with neighbors, friends, and coworkers who may normally receive Thursday service collections to avoid missed pickups or full bins.
Although City Hall will be closed, many services remain accessible online at yumaaz.gov. Through the city website customers can pay utility bills, register for Parks and Recreation programs, and view official city documents. A self serve utility payment kiosk located outside the main entrance of City Hall operates 24 hours a day and accepts cash, credit, or debit for residents who prefer an in person automated option.

Non emergency service needs can be reported directly online through Yuma Click & Fix. The portal accepts reports for street repairs, graffiti, vandalism, streetlight outages, road sign repairs, and more, providing a way for residents to alert municipal crews without visiting City Hall.
For Yuma County residents the short closure is a reminder to confirm schedules for waste and recycling service during holiday weeks and to use online tools when in person assistance is not available. With the region’s cross border ties and family travel during the Thanksgiving period, the city’s emphasis on digital access and the 24 hour kiosk aims to reduce disruptions for households that travel or have limited weekday availability to manage municipal business.
