Police found 15-year-old Tyonna Pierce shot inside a home on the 2100 block of Druid Hill Avenue; she was taken by medic to a local hospital and later died, authorities and local records show. The fatality was one of several violent incidents in Baltimore overnight into Feb. 15.

Western District patrol officers responded to the Druid Hill Avenue call at about 2:08 a.m., according to Foxbaltimore and the Baltimore Sun’s homicide log, which lists the entry as 02/15/2026 2:08 a.m. Homicide detectives are investigating, and investigators asked anyone with information to call 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Neighbors in the area, which some residents refer to as Druid Heights, said the shooting inside a home shocked them. An anonymous West Baltimore resident told WBALTV, "I was kind of shocked because she didn’t bother anyone, you know, she was very sweet, outgoing, you know, positive. So I was I was confused on what happened. You know, maybe wrong place at the wrong time, but it’s very sad." The same neighbor added, "I found out inside of a home, I was very shocked, you know, street wise. But inside of a home? Yeah." The person closed by saying, "My heart goes out to her family and I apologize for, you know, them having to go through that because she was very sweet."

The shooting on Druid Hill Avenue followed other violent calls in the city that night. About 11:37 p.m. on Feb. 14, officers responded to the 3400 block of Bateman Avenue and found a 16-year-old boy with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound after a preliminary investigation placed the shooting at 3400 Piedmont Avenue; Northwest District detectives asked anyone with information on that case to call 410-396-2466. At about 12:36 a.m., officers were called to the 5200 block of Saint Charles Avenue in the Woodmere area and found a 36-year-old man suffering trauma to the body; police are labeling that death a homicide and the Baltimore Sun lists the 12:36 a.m. Saint Charles entry in its homicide log.
