ACRMC Auxiliary donates $20,899 for laboratory and family medicine equipment upgrades
ACRMC’s Auxiliary gave funds to the hospital — Highland County Press reported $20,899 while ACRMC’s own news release described a $20,000 gift earmarked for lab, family medicine and emergency equipment.

The Auxiliary of Adams County Regional Medical Center announced a donation to ACRMC that appears in two public notices with different totals: the Highland County Press carried an announcement on Feb. 24, 2026 reporting $20,899, while ACRMC’s news release (authored by Jason Francis on the hospital site) describes a $20,000 donation. Both sources identify the Auxiliary — a volunteer group that supports the hospital and its programs — as the donor.
ACRMC’s news release specifies the $20,000 figure is earmarked for equipment upgrades in three areas: the laboratory, family medicine clinics, and the emergency department. The site language states the gift was "earmarked for equipment upgrades in vital areas of the medical center, including the laboratory, family medicine clinics, and emergency department," indicating the hospital plans to apply the funds to clinical equipment rather than to unrelated operating expenses.
Hospital leadership acknowledged the gift in the ACRMC release. ACRMC CEO Alan Bird conveyed deep appreciation for the Auxiliary’s support, saying the donation will enable improvements at the medical center. The ACRMC site lists the notice under News + Events and shows the posting as authored by Jason Francis.
ACRMC is described on its site as a state-of-the-art healthcare facility near Seaman, Ohio, operating five family medicine clinics in Adams and Brown counties. The news release frames the Auxiliary’s gift as part of ongoing community support that helps ACRMC provide "quality healthcare close to home" across its clinics and at the main hospital campus.

The two publicly available postings leave an open question about the exact amount and accounting. Highland County Press’s Feb. 24, 2026 announcement and ACRMC’s Jason Francis news item both identify the Auxiliary as donor and describe support for hospital programs and equipment, but one lists $20,899 and the other lists $20,000. ACRMC’s release does not include a department-by-department spending breakdown or a purchase timeline for the equipment upgrades.
As ACRMC and the Auxiliary move ahead, officials say the funds are intended to strengthen laboratory capacity and primary care services at the hospital and its five family medicine clinics in Adams and Brown counties, and to support emergency department readiness for residents who rely on the Seaman-area facility.
