Season 2 — Lunar Charge launched Feb. 11 at 4 PM PT with a new Lachmann/Lachman-556 Battle Pass rifle, DMZ: Recon updates, Plunder LTM, Lunar Shipment through 2/25 (UTC).

Season 2 — Lunar Charge launched on Call of Duty: Mobile Feb. 11 at 4 PM PT, bringing a Lunar New Year celebration tied to the Year of the Horse and a broad slate of seasonal content across DMZ: Recon, Multiplayer, and Battle Royale. Call of Duty Staff opened its Season 2 preview by writing, "2026 ushers in the Year of the Horse as a new Lunar New Year celebration arrives in Season 2," and directed players to the Call of Duty: Mobile website and official social channels for full details.
The Battle Pass is live now with free and premium tracks offering skins, weapon blueprints, and points, and features a new rifle listed as Lachmann-556 in several reports while Call of Duty Staff spells it "Lachman-556 Assault Rifle." Call of Duty Staff also confirmed three Battle Passes added to the Vault this season: Lunar Dragon (Season 2 – 2024), Task Force 141 (Season 2 – 2022), and Tokyo Escape (Season 3 – 2021).
The in-game shop and Lucky Draw return with a new Prestige unlock: "Players who purchase a minimum of three main Lucky Draw weapons during Season 2 will unlock the Legendary M13 — Liminal Flare, a new Prestige Weapon featuring a striking futuristic design." Call of Duty Staff highlighted the web store promotion with the header "A NEW GIFT EVERY DAY ON THE WEB STORE," and multiple outlets note Lucky Draws and Vault rotations run through the season.
DMZ: Recon is the headliner for Lunar Charge, with new content like the Train event on Serpent Island described as high-risk, loud rewards, plus a new boss in Building 21. The boss "can be found near the elevators and will be surrounded by guards whilst throwing grenades from his War Machine. Players who beat him will be well rewarded." Mythic weapon trials are active in DMZ: find parts, extract successfully, and exchange those parts for a three-day trial of a Mythic weapon, per season notes.
Multiplayer gets a Lunar Shipment map variant with red and gold tones, new lighting, falling snow, and festive decorations including firecrackers and Spring Festival couplets; that variant is live from launch until 2/25 (UTC). 1v1 Duel returns as a best-of-three, first-to-7 eliminations ruleset where losers select the next round’s weapon class, scorestreaks and operator skills are disabled, and health regeneration is on.
Battle Royale introduces Plunder as a Limited Time Mode with a "Cash Up" finish: "After the bonus round ends, each squad’s final deposited plus carried cash is totaled, declaring the richest squad the winner of the match." Carry1st framed Plunder and DMZ updates as a major refresh and wrote, "If you’ve been waiting for a CODM season that feels like a real refresh: new modes, serious DMZ: Recon toys, and a Battle Pass weapon that isn’t just 'another reskin with a new name'—Season 2: Lunar Charge is the one you download immediately."
Ranked Play restarts with Season 2 and new rewards; promotional copy reads, "Season 2 marks the beginning of a new season of Ranked Play! Get ready to climb the ranks as you compete against the best of the best, earning new rewards like the epic Death Angel Alice — Nighthawk Operator Skin and the Epic RAM-7 Mystical Weapon Blueprint." Practical player advice from Carry1st urges updating the game, clearing storage, and ensuring map and mode downloads are current before jumping in.
Community posts confirmed the season went live and noted a technical issue was resolved earlier the same day, though the community message is partially truncated. Post-launch coverage appeared the following day, with XboxEra publishing a rollout summary on Feb. 12, 2026. Photo credit in the season bundle goes to Kat 'MortonToe' Morton.
