Charlotte Tilbury founding CEO Demetra Pinsent exits after 14 years
Demetra Pinsent, founding CEO who scaled Charlotte Tilbury from launch in 2012 to a billion-dollar business, left the company with her final day reported as Feb. 26, 2026.

Demetra Pinsent, the founding chief executive who led Charlotte Tilbury Beauty from its 2012 launch to global scale, has stepped down, with her final day reported as February 26, 2026. A company spokesperson said Pinsent “has decided to leave the business to pursue new opportunities.” No successor has yet been named.
Cosmetics Business reproduced the company statement in full: “As Charlotte Tilbury continues its remarkable growth, Demetra Pinsent has decided to leave the business to pursue new opportunities. [...] Charlotte [Tilbury, MBE, founder of the brand] will continue to lead the business. Charlotte and Puig would like to thank Demetra for her tremendous dedication and contribution to building the business and wish her all the very best for the future.”

The Business of Fashion reports the departure was announced internally to employees on Wednesday afternoon, and Global Cosmetics News set Pinsent’s final day on Feb. 26, 2026. Global Cosmetics News framed the exit as a strategic leadership transition as the Puig-owned label integrates further into Puig’s portfolio; BoF and Global Cosmetics News both note Charlotte Tilbury will continue to lead the brand creatively and commercially in her roles as president, chairman and chief creative officer.

Pinsent’s tenure is marked by rapid commercial growth. She helped translate Charlotte Tilbury’s runway makeup vision into a billion-dollar business and guided the company through its acquisition by Spanish conglomerate Puig in 2020. Cosmetics Business highlighted that Charlotte Tilbury became a “standout” performer for Puig and was instrumental in supporting Puig’s revenue surpassing €5 billion in 2025. Related coverage cites make-up and skin care sales contributing to 7.8% like-for-like growth at Puig in 2025.
Pinsent’s departure comes weeks after she was named in HM The King’s New Year Honours List 2026. Cosmetics Business reported that she was “named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in recognition of her services to beauty and business,” a formal acknowledgment of her role in building the brand and the wider industry profile she helped create.
Public confirmation has appeared across platforms, including a Cosmetics Business LinkedIn post linking the coverage and an Instagram line noting Pinsent’s exit after 14 years. For Charlotte Tilbury and Puig the immediate task is operational: replace a founding CEO who oversaw start-up growth, a 2020 acquisition, and a run of market-beating performance as the company moves toward Puig’s planned full ownership by 2030. The brand will continue under Charlotte Tilbury’s creative and commercial leadership while an executive succession plan remains to be announced.
