Copperas Cove Chamber Hosts 70th Anniversary Awards Gala, Fundraiser Jan. 31
Community leaders, businesses and residents gather tonight at the Copperas Cove Civic Center for the Chamber's 70th anniversary gala to raise funds for an education and entrepreneurial center.

Community leaders, business owners and residents are gathering in Copperas Cove tonight as the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau stages its 2026 Annual Chamber Awards Gala and Fundraiser, a milestone event marking the Chamber's 70th anniversary and driving money toward local workforce and small-business initiatives.
The Chamber's event page invites the public with the line "Mark your calendars. The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is proud to present the 2026 Annual Chamber Awards Gala and Fundraiser, an elegant evening celebrating excellence, community, and the spirit that makes Copperas Cove thrive." The site also lists the schedule as "Join us on January 31, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM for an unforgettable night." An event aggregator lists the same start time and a 1206 W Avenue B address but records a 10:00 PM end time, presenting a minor scheduling discrepancy between the Chamber's official page and third-party listings.
The gala, presented at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, combines recognition and fundraising. Ticket purchases, available in individual and table formats, include dinner, entertainment, fundraising activities and the awards presentation. The Chamber cautions that "Tickets are limited and advance purchase is encouraged." Promotional copy frames the evening as more than a party: "The Annual Chamber Awards Gala and Fundraiser is more than a celebration. It is an investment in people, ideas, and opportunity."
Proceeds are designated to the Copperas Cove Chamber Foundation and will "directly benefit the Education and Entrepreneurial Center," the Chamber says. Organizers describe the Center's priorities as expanding business education, workforce development, and entrepreneurial resources that strengthen the local economy. Those priorities speak to broader civic and governance questions about how private and nonprofit capacity complements municipal efforts to prepare a skilled workforce and support small business growth in Coryell County.
Entertainment and fundraising features are part spectacle and part revenue generation. The program includes the dueling pianos group Howl at the Moon, who "have graciously pledged to donate all performer tips from the night to the Copperas Cove Chamber Foundation in support of our Education and Entrepreneurial Center." The evening will also include a silent auction, a Bubbles and Bling raffle, and a Liquor and Wine pool, while organizers recommend cocktail or semi-formal attire.
Beyond the immediate celebration, the gala functions as a convening mechanism that can influence local networks, philanthropic flows and priorities for workforce training. The Chamber positions the event as a way to "honor the leaders, businesses, and community partners who have helped shape our vibrant city while investing directly in the future of local education and entrepreneurship." For residents and taxpayers, the gala offers a tangible vehicle for supporting programs that aim to expand opportunities for future employees and small-business owners in Copperas Cove.
Tickets remain limited and advance purchase is encouraged; residents interested in attending can consult Chamber channels for current availability and final event logistics. The outcome of tonight's fundraising will shape the Chamber Foundation's ability to roll out education and entrepreneurial programs in the months ahead.
