The zipper head on certain HALO Magic Sleepsuits can pull free from the garment entirely, leaving a small metal piece within reach of the infant wearing it. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntary recall of roughly 45,000 units on March 5, 2026, after Halo Dream reported 15 instances of zipper heads detaching. No injuries have been reported.

The recall covers sleepsuits bearing one of three batch codes: PO30592, PO30641, or PO30685. Those codes appear on both the sewn-in label inside the garment and the hangtag attached to the outside, alongside "Made in India" text. The affected suits were designed for infants between 3 and 6 months old, sold in small (12–18 lb.) and large (18–21 lb.) sizes, and feature double zippers running down each side of the front with "HALO Magic Sleepsuit" printed on the chest. The construction uses a 100% cotton shell and lining with 100% polyester filling.

Rachel Leventhal, director of brand management at Halo Dream, confirmed the scope of the defect. "The detachment can affect one or both zippers," she said. "Out of an abundance of caution, we are recalling these units to ensure safety." Leventhal also noted that all other HALO Magic Sleepsuits outside these three batch codes are not affected.

The recalled units sold for about $50 between September 2025 and February 2026 through Halosleep.com, Amazon, Target.com, and Walmart.com. Consumers who purchased through any of those channels should stop using the product immediately and keep it away from the child.

Critically, do not discard the sleepsuit before completing the recall registration. Throwing it away first could forfeit the remedy. Register at sleepsuitrecall.com, where photos are also available showing exactly where to locate the batch codes on the garment and hangtag. After registering, consumers receive a coupon code redeemable for either a replacement sleepsuit or a $50 store credit toward another item on the company's website.

Questions can be directed to HALO Dream toll-free at 833-791-0420, available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, or by email at customerservice@sleepsuitrecall.com.
