Owners of the Tooth and Nail tattoo shop, Chadillac Rexx, 40, and Manda Rexx, 35, were arrested and booked into the Scott County Jail after investigators say a search of their home in the 900 block of Bridge Ave. uncovered 38 firearms and a crack pipe. Arrests were reported Wednesday, March 4; Chadillac was taken into custody around 11:30 a.m. and Manda was booked around 1:30 p.m.

Members of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and other supporting law enforcement executed the search warrant on Oct. 3, 2025 at about 2:26 p.m., and seized the weapons, authorities say. Investigators recovered 38 firearms in total, seven of which were reported as unsecured and accessible inside the residence.

Searches extended beyond the home. Investigators completed ATF traces on the 38 firearms and collected ATF Form 4473s for firearms purchased by Chadillac and Manda, officials say. A search of Chadillac’s cellphone listed in the warrant produced what investigators described as "a pattern of continuous illegal drug use and evidence of illegal drug sales beginning in September 2018." A separate phone review attributed to the investigation indicates a similar pattern for Manda beginning in January 2020.

Prosecutors allege both defendants provided materially false information to licensed firearms dealers to conceal drug use and obtain firearms. Investigators say Chadillac knowingly gave false information to dealers at Davenport Guns and B&B Shooting Sports on 15 separate dates, and that he "claimed to not use drugs 15 separate times." Authorities allege Manda provided false information on four separate dates.

Charging documents filed in the cases lay out the specific counts. Chadillac is charged with 15 counts of fraudulent purchase of firearms or ammunition, each a Class D felony, and was listed on the Scott County Jail roster with a $75,000 cash-only bond. Manda faces eight felony counts of dominion or control of a firearm or weapon by a domestic abuse offender and four counts of fraudulent purchase of firearms or ammunition; several reports note she is a convicted felon. Criminal complaints filed in both cases say the Oct. 3 search was connected to an ongoing drug investigation.

The seizure and the fraud allegations tie local gun sales records, cellphone evidence and ATF trace work together in the prosecutor’s file as the Rexxes await further court proceedings in Scott County. The couple’s ownership of Tooth and Nail places the case squarely in the Davenport small-business community while the counts against Chadillac and Manda move forward through the county criminal-justice system.
