Forage Grove Food Hall Opens Downtown Forest Grove with 32 Taps
Forage Grove opened at 1921 21st Ave., converting the former Ridgewalker site into a 96-seat food hall and taproom with a daylong opening celebration and a reported 32 taps.
Forage Grove opened its doors in historic downtown Forest Grove at 1921 21st Ave., converting the beige mid-century building that once housed Ridgewalker Brewing into a 96-seat public house that combines a Pelagic Brewing taproom with a curated multi-vendor food program. The project staged a daylong opening celebration running noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 7, and promotional material for the launch lists 32 taps, a figure the operators have not yet publicly detailed.
Pelagic Brewing, which moved into the former Ridgewalker space roughly a year before the Forage Grove launch, remains central to operations and will continue brewing and supplying beer for the taps. “Each of our partners brings something unique to the table,” Josh Weber, owner of Pelagic Brewing and co-founder of Forage Grove, said, framing the site’s shift from a single-brewery taproom into a larger public house.
Comida KIN is the co-founder charged with overseeing the bar and food program and curating local vendors under the Forage Grove roof. Rodrigo Huerta, chef and owner of Comida KIN and co-founder of Forage Grove, said, “We’re eager to welcome the Forest Grove community to Forage Grove,” and added, “This project is about more than food and drink - it’s about creating a space where people can gather, discover local flavors and feel at home. We’re proud to breathe new life into this space.”
At launch the vendor roster included Bull Run Cider, Italian street food vendor FG Amore, and Franko’s Hot Dogs, with both indoor offerings and food carts planned for the outdoor area adjacent to the building. Owners describe the pivot as recasting the public house as a collective rather than a single-brewery setup, and they expect the roster to grow with additional carts and makers joining over time.

The physical space blends a 96-seat indoor public house with an indoor multi-vendor program and outdoor carts, and the project is being promoted on Instagram under the handle @forage.grove. Bridgetown Bites noted the Forage Grove logo and called the site a new gathering space in downtown Forest Grove, while local roundups listed the taproom and food hall among late February items leading into the weekend opening.
Practical details still pending include confirmation of the full tap list and how many taps will feature Pelagic beer versus guests or rotating partners. Forage Grove’s founders have announced a community-focused model and a growing vendor lineup, signaling a shift in downtown Forest Grove’s hospitality scene toward collaborative taprooms and multi-vendor food halls.
