Franchisee Ed Zausch plans Altamonte Springs as part of 10-store Orlando rollout
Franchisee Ed Zausch says he’s “beyond excited” to bring part of a 10-store Jack in the Box buildout to the Orlando area, with Altamonte Springs and Clermont on a short list.

Franchisee Ed Zausch is moving to expand Jack in the Box across the Orlando market, putting Altamonte Springs on a short list as part of a 10-store development agreement outlined in Jack in the Box investor materials. Zausch told investors his team is “beyond excited to bring ten new Jack in the Box locations to the greater Orlando area.”
The franchise agreement backing Zausch’s plan appears in Jack in the Box investor documents that describe a 10-store buildout for the Orlando market, while the company at large has signaled it wants to bring as many as 20 locations to the Florida region over the next few years. Zausch has previously reopened the chain’s Florida presence with a Longwood store at 815 W. State Road 434, which opened in late February 2026 and drew long lines on opening day.
Orlando Business Journal reporting, as summarized in the investor coverage, places both Clermont and Altamonte Springs on Zausch’s development list. Those cities are noted for high-traffic corridors that franchisees have been targeting for drive-thru operations and around-the-clock service, a model Jack in the Box has emphasized for late-night demand and convenience locations.
At this stage neither specific addresses nor construction timelines for Clermont or Altamonte Springs have been released. Permitting and site-selection details have not been disclosed by Zausch or Jack in the Box, so exact opening dates remain uncertain. The investor materials and local reporting do not yet show finalized site plans or building permits for either city.

Hoodline framed the local market appetite succinctly, writing that “Central Florida's appetite for curly fries and late-night tacos is not slowing down.” Hoodline also advised that “Developers, late-night snackers, and anyone with a soft spot for Jack in the Box tacos should expect permit filings and formal company announcements to start surfacing in the coming months as franchisees narrow their choices.”
For Seminole County residents, the immediate signal is that Altamonte Springs is under active consideration by a named franchisee working from an investor-backed rollout. Until Jack in the Box or Ed Zausch disclose exact addresses or submit permit applications, city planning departments in Altamonte Springs and Clermont will be the places where filings first appear and concrete timelines emerge. Reporters will monitor public records and official announcements for confirmed addresses and opening dates as the rollout progresses.
