Fresno Grizzlies Host Job Fair to Fill Over 100 Seasonal Jobs
More than 100 seasonal jobs were available at a Fresno Grizzlies job fair at Chukchansi Park, giving local residents short-term hiring opportunities and support for the spring baseball season.
More than 100 seasonal positions were open at a job fair hosted by the Fresno Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park on Feb. 3, providing immediate hiring opportunities for Fresno County residents ahead of the baseball season. The event ran from 10 a.m. to noon and brought the team together with Professional Sports Catering to recruit a broad slate of game-day and venue-support roles.
Derek Franks, president of the Fresno Grizzlies, framed the hiring push as part of the club’s seasonal ramp-up. “We love getting to welcome such a large number of passionate people into the Fresno Grizzlies family every season,” Franks said, adding that the fair “truly kicks off the excitement for the year ahead and reminds us that baseball season is just around the corner.” Attendees were encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared for discussions about fit; some candidates were screened for possible in-person interviews during the two-hour window.
The hiring list included security, servers, guest services, bartenders, Fun Zone staff, cashiers, parking attendants, runners, video crew, bar backs, the G-Force promo team, suite attendants, ticket office staff, an HR assistant, team store staff, food service utility workers, cooks, warehouse workers, and dishwashers. Professional Sports Catering organized food-service recruitment alongside the team’s own hiring, reflecting the operational scale needed to staff concessions, suites, ticketing, and promotions across game days and special events at Chukchansi Park.
Organizers directed walk-up applicants to enter the ballpark via the H Street entrance. Those who could not attend were advised to apply through the Fresno Grizzlies’ official website or through the catering employer’s careers portal by searching for Chukchansi Park. The partnership offered multiple pathways for hiring, from on-site conversations to online applications for select roles.

Beyond individual job offers, the fair has local economic implications. Seasonal hires support weekend and evening service-industry income, boost payroll flows into Fresno neighborhoods, and help the ballpark operate as a year-round venue for concerts and nonprofit events. The Grizzlies’ affiliation with the Colorado Rockies and the club’s strong attendance and on-field record in recent seasons underscore steady demand for game-day staffing as events scale up.
For residents seeking work, the event reopened a familiar seasonal pipeline: entry-level positions with potential for repeat seasonal employment, experience in hospitality and event operations, and connections to ongoing work at Chukchansi Park. For the community, filling over 100 roles means more staff to run promotions, concessions, and guest services as the team prepares for another season of games and special events.
