The announcement identified Timko’s new title and listed her clinical and administrative credentials immediately following the appointment notice.
Garnet Health said Timko has been on its leadership team since 2016, noting she "joined the organization as Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Garnet Health Medical Center and has since held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as Vice President of Clinical Support Services." Her academic record in the announcement included a Bachelor of Science in Radiology from Quinnipiac University and an MBA from Mount Saint Mary College, and the release listed certifications from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiology, mammography and CT plus a Certified Radiology Administrator credential from the Association for Medical Imaging Management. The Garnet Health announcement outlined Timko’s remit in plain terms: "In her new role, Timko will provide executive oversight for multiple areas of Garnet Health’s operations. She will also lead efforts to formalize and expand several key service lines, supporting the organization’s growth and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care." The system’s press materials used that language to frame the promotion as part of operational growth at the Middletown campus, adding that the appointment is intended to strengthen service-line development across the facility.
Garnet Health positioned the hire within the broader system context in its "About" information, identifying the organization as a New York State not-for-profit corporation headquartered in Middletown, about 60 miles northwest of New York City. The announcement listed Garnet Health Medical Center, Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills, Garnet Health Doctors, Garnet Health Urgent Care and two Garnet Health Foundation entities as parts of the system; it also stated the network provides care for more than 500,000 residents in Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties and employs over 4,000 professionals with more than 850 medical staff members.
The release carried a photo credited as provided and was issued under a Garnet Health byline naming Deija Davis-Montes, BS. The announcement did not include a direct quotation from Timko, an effective start date for the COO role, or the name of a predecessor; Garnet Health’s materials direct interested parties to the system’s online resources for additional information and career opportunities.
