Holland Kiwanis 17th Gun and Knife Show Feb. 14-15 in Huntingburg
Holland Kiwanis will host its 17th annual Gun and Knife Show Feb. 14-15 at the Huntingburg Event Center; proceeds will benefit Riley Children’s Hospital and local projects.

The Holland Kiwanis Club will host its 17th annual Gun and Knife Show at the Huntingburg Event Center, 200 E. 14th St., Huntingburg, on Feb. 14-15, offering vendors, fundraising and community draws that matter to local residents. Admission is $6 per person; children 12 and under are free. The show runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern.
Organizers say the show will feature a wide selection of firearms, knives, and related items from vendors across the region. Proceeds will benefit Riley Children’s Hospital and other community projects. A half-pot drawing will also be held, with a top prize of up to $2,500. Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, and the venue is described as just off U.S. 231. The event listing also advertises free parking; as GunShowTrader puts it, “Free Parking!”
Vendors planning to attend should note table and setup details. GunShowTrader lists 220 tables with 8-foot tables priced at $45 each and dealer setup periods of Friday noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Prospective sellers and collectors should confirm space and rules ahead of time, as show listings may change. The site cautions: “Please Confirm All Gun Shows - Shows are liable to change dates, times or possibly cancel without notice.” All federal and local firearm laws and ordinances must be obeyed.
Local contact information for reservations and questions varies across listings. WBIW cites Dana Peacock at 812-536-3454 for vendor reservations and information. Visit Dubois County lists John Daunhauer at 812-536-2525; MidwestOutdoors has previously listed John Daunhauer at 812-536-5252 and an email of jddcsd@psci.net. Steve Satkamp of Holland Kiwanis discussed the show on WBIW’s Talk of the Town program; organizers also point to the Holland Kiwanis Club Facebook page and the Dubois County Visitors Center for lodging and additional details.

The show is a long-running Dubois County event; historical attendee reviews describe it as compact and community minded. One past attendee, Ed Coburn, wrote: “Right size show, not too big , not too small. More guns , less flea market than most shows. Good people , good cause!” That balance and the fundraising focus make the event a notable weekend attraction for Huntingburg and surrounding towns.
For readers, the show is both an opportunity to support Riley Children’s Hospital and a chance to buy, sell or browse regional firearms and knives under local rules. Verify current table availability, entry rules and primary contact before arriving by calling Dana Peacock at 812-536-3454 or John Daunhauer at 812-536-2525 or 812-536-5252, or check the Holland Kiwanis Club Facebook page and the Dubois County Visitors Center for updates.
