HomePlunge Bella 0.5 HP chiller converts bathtubs into ice-free cold plunges
HomePlunge’s Bella is a 0.5 HP tub chiller that converts a standard bathtub into a cold plunge without ice or plumbing, cooling at 6°–10°F per hour down to 39°F.

HomePlunge introduced the Bella, a compact 1/2 horsepower cold-plunge chiller that turns an ordinary bathtub into an ice-free cold plunge with no additional plumbing. The company says the Bella cools at 6°–10°F per hour and can be set as low as 39°F, runs on standard 110 VAC/60 Hz at 6 amps, and ships to pre-order customers with a $100 discount and a “Ships in April” notice in the March 6, 2026 press release.
The Bella is pitched as a space-first option for apartments and rentals. Plungewarehouse product details put the unit at 18.5" W × 16.5" D × 20.5" H with a roughly 2' × 2' footprint and a weight of about 45 lbs including wheels, and HomePlunge highlights a quick-release hose-arm you can disconnect with a button and tuck the unit into a closet, under a sink, or behind a door. The company says the Bella shares “digital temperature control, smart app scheduling, built-in filtration, and zero-plumbing setup” with its larger model.
Performance comes with clear trade-offs compared with HomePlunge’s H3. The H3 uses a 1 HP compressor and, on retailer specification pages, can reach 34°F and cool at 20–30°F per hour. HomePlunge frames the Bella as quieter, lower-power, and more affordable: “The Bella is a compact 1/2 HP cold plunge chiller designed to bring professional-grade cold therapy to more homes at a more accessible price point.” The Bella’s slower cooldown is folded into the user playbook in the PR: “If you plan ahead and schedule your sessions, the Bella delivers the same cold plunge experience in a more compact and budget-friendly package.”

HomePlunge will put the Bella on public display at the Health & Fitness Association Show in San Diego, March 16–18, 2026, and the press release lists Christopher Francis as media contact with the company website for orders and info. The launch notes include a $20 Drip Pan accessory to catch water during filter changes and maintenance; optional accessories are sold separately. Retailer material for the H3 also lists one-year manufacturer warranty and flexible financing options like Shop Pay Installments and Affirm, but the Bella press material does not specify warranty or financing terms.
The announcement leans on HomePlunge’s broader credentials: the company calls itself the creator of the world’s first bathtub cold plunge chiller and points to the H3’s CES Innovation Award and TIME Best Inventions 2025 Special Mention plus partnerships with the NFLPA and MLBPA. For buyers who need a compact, quiet, plug-and-play option that fits a 2' × 2' footprint and runs on household power, the Bella offers a defined compromise: a 1/2 HP, 45 lb unit that sacrifices the H3’s 34°F low and faster 20–30°F per hour ramp in exchange for portability and lower draw.
