Main Street Living Room Olympic Watch Party at Miner's Park Feb. 6–22
Park City is hosting a Main Street Living Room watch party at Miner’s Park Feb. 6–22 with a large outdoor screen, seating and grab-and-go food from Main Street restaurants.

Park City is turning Miner’s Park into a Main Street Living Room for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, offering daily, drop-in viewing on a large outdoor screen from Feb. 6–22. The municipal event brings televised competition to Old Town with public seating and grab-and-go food and beverage options supplied by Main Street restaurants, city event materials say.
Hours vary by day: Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the Park City municipal event page and local reporting. One local broadcast excerpt omitted Sunday hours in its snippet. Park City’s main line for additional information is 435-615-5000.
Organized by the City of Park City, the Main Street Living Room is pitched as a relaxed community hub to cheer on Team USA and Park City’s hometown athletes, reflect on the town’s Olympic legacy and look ahead to hosting the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The city describes the space as a casual, drop-in gathering space featuring daily Games coverage on a large, outdoor screen, and encourages visitors to stop by throughout the day to watch the Games, cheer on athletes and enjoy comfortable seating.
The outdoor format has practical public health and equity implications for Summit County residents. Outdoor viewing reduces the need for prolonged indoor congregation and provides a low-cost, family-friendly option for residents and visitors who may not have access to private or paid viewing venues. Park City Library is offering an indoor complement to the outdoor program by streaming Games coverage on its first floor throughout the Olympics and hosting an Olympic-themed bilingual family storytime Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m., featuring themed books and a paper-plate ice-skating activity. Library programming expands options for families with young children and those seeking quieter, weather-protected viewing.

The Main Street programming sits alongside several related local efforts. The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is staging a separate watch party at Utah Olympic Park Plaza with food trucks, firepits, a beer garden, hot chocolate, prizes and a live DJ. Park City Mountain and the Alf Engen Ski Museum are also planning watch-party events and activities during the Games period, including museum programming Feb. 13–16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Local officials are participating and traveling with ties to the Games; one councilmember is attending events in Italy and is covering his own travel expenses for the two-week tour of venues, and municipal reporting has been corrected to clarify Park City Acting City Manager Jodi Emery’s title. Community photographers have documented Old Town activity; photo credits for coverage include Jay Hamburger of the Park Record and Randi Sidman-Moore for TownLift.
For Summit County residents, the Main Street Living Room offers a convenient, outdoor way to gather with neighbors, celebrate local athletes and participate in the Games without high cost or reservation barriers. Expect more communal viewing options across the valley through Feb. 22 as Park City balances public celebration with accessible programming for families and visitors.
