Material Good marked its 10th anniversary by opening a Boston boutique in Back Bay and naming world No. 1 tennis champion Aryna Sabalenka as its newest brand ambassador. The Newbury Street store opened in February 2026, occupies 2,500 square feet, and launches amid an accelerated expansion that the company says will include additional U.S. locations.

The Boston space follows Material Good’s residential-retail blueprint, with a second-floor gathering space, private salon, fireplace lounge and communal table designed to support bridal consultations and extended client visits. The space is designed to feel more like a welcoming home than a traditional store, with distinct rooms, original artwork, and inviting lounges that encourage clients to settle in and explore at their own pace, and finishes that include leathered marble, suede brass, bronze and green velvet.

Co-founders Rob Ronen and Michael Herman, who launched Material Good in 2015, populated the boutique with art drawn from their personal collections, including works by Rashid Johnson, Damien Hirst and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Those works are on display in the Boston salon and are available for purchase, reinforcing the store’s hybrid model of fine art, leather goods and collectible objects alongside jewelry and watches.

Merchandise in the Back Bay shop spans Material Good’s in-house offerings and curated third-party lines. The boutique houses MG’s fine jewelry collection, MG Bridal pieces, custom work from the MG Atelier team and the Found & Collected edit of designer and vintage jewelry. On the watch side, Boston will be an authorized retailer for Gérald Genta, H. Moser & Cie, Daniel Roth and Konstantin Chaykin, and will offer vintage and pre-owned timepieces from Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, Rolex, F.P. Journe and Vacheron Constantin. The company’s North American relationships with Biver and Vanguart extend to the new location.

Ronen framed the expansion as client-led, saying, "Choosing Boston for our third location reflects how we’ve always grown: listening closely to our clients and expanding in the places where they’ve invited us to be." He added, "Boston has a strong sense of community that aligns closely with our values. We’re excited to bring our trusted partners along for the ride and to create a space that feels welcoming, personal, and rooted in long-term relationships."

Boston is Material Good’s third U.S. showroom, joining its New York City flagship and Miami location, and it serves as the first of multiple planned openings during the company’s 10th anniversary year. Material Good has been credited with developing the collector lounge concept that influenced industry formats, and WatchPro reports a planned opening in Highland Park Village, Dallas in March as part of this expansion. With curated art, authorized independent watch partnerships and a hospitality-first retail model, Material Good is positioning its Back Bay boutique as a physical expression of the strategy that has driven its first decade.
