Media Accreditation Opens for ITTF World Team Championships Finals London 2026
Media accreditation is now open for the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026, a key step for reporters planning coverage of the "centenary finals."

The International Table Tennis Federation has opened media accreditation for the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026. “The ITTF announced that media accreditation applications are now open for the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026,” the announcement states, confirming that the "centenary finals" will run from 28 April to 10 May 2026 at Copper Box Arena and OVO Arena Wembley in London.
WorldTableTennis corroborated the ITTF notice and broadened the invitation: “The ITTF also wishes to announce that media accreditation is now open for the event. Local and foreign media are welcome to apply for accreditation here.” No application URL or deadline was included in the available material, so the accreditation portal and any time limits remain to be confirmed with ITTF press contacts.
Operational preparations for the Championships are already taking shape across the city. TableTennisEngland says Team London Volunteering will supply more than 300 volunteers and lists roles that include Media Assistants and Accreditation Support. TableTennisEngland states: “Volunteers will need to commit to completing a minimum of six volunteer shifts between 22 April 2026 and 10 May 2026. Shifts will typically last between four and six hours, with morning and afternoon shifts available most days of the event. Deadline for expression of interest is Wednesday 28 January 2026 23:59. If selected, you’ll receive a role offer via email during February and March. You’ll have 14 days to accept your offer, after which it may be offered to someone else. You’ll be invited to attend a mix of mandatory online and in-person training in March and early April.” TableTennisEngland also highlights role locations “across the city.”
Past ITTF events offer a technical playbook for accreditation logistics. A vendor case study from RFIDentikit documents work at the World Championship in Budapest: “We were delighted to work with the International Table Tennis Federation at the World Championship in Budapest, Hungary. We provided access to our AllowME event accreditation system to enable the accreditation team to manage the access levels, catering and pass printing for staff, players, delegates, volunteers and media.” RFIDentikit added that the AllowME tools let accreditation teams “quickly add a photograph, change some dates, add meals and give access zones. These passes were then sent for approval and then printed.” The vendor reported that “Deploying 3 tablet scanners gave the ITTF enough capacity to process over 1,200 people in a meal session without queues and waiting times,” a useful operational precedent though the vendor did not claim it will be used in London.

Organisers and media should note other simultaneous accreditation campaigns run by ITTF for separate events. ITTF has said, “ITTF is pleased to announce that the application for media accreditation for the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup 2025 is now open.” A separate post on social media states: “The media accreditation process for the ITTF Pan American Championships is officially open! Deadline: October 3rd, 2025.”
The original ITTF release included a truncated line: “The ITTF noted an on-site media accre” and the remainder was not provided; that omission, plus the missing accreditation URL, categories, deadlines, credential-collection details and media contact, should be clarified with ITTF before outlets finalise travel or staffing. Verify the accreditation portal and credential rules with ITTF press officers, prepare accreditation materials early, and plan staffing around volunteer windows that begin 22 April and run through 10 May 2026. Coverage logistics are taking shape; credentials and a confirmed operations brief are the next serves.
