North Adams High Academic Team Wins District Championship, Advances to Regional Meet

The North Adams High School Academic Team is the new 2025-2026 Academic Team District Champion." North Adams High School finished the season with 330 points compiled across seven matches to take the title, edging Fairfield by a 15-point margin on season totals.

"On January 13, and with a cumulative total of 330 points from seven matches, NAHS finished their journey to victory with a 15-point seasonal margin over second-place Fairfield High School." North Adams and Fairfield both closed the season with 6 wins and 1 loss, but the higher point total NAHS earned in the final match decided the crown.

"North Adams and Fairfield ended the season tied, with both teams having a record of 6 wins and only 1 loss. By virtue of the high point total earned by NAHS in the final match, the tie was broken, and North Adams secured their district championship title in a charged atmosphere of competitive spirit and exemplary sportsmanship." The clinching performance on Jan. 13 capped a seven-match schedule that saw North Adams accumulate the highest aggregate score in the eight-team district.

The district field included Eastern, Fairfield, Fayetteville, North Adams, Peebles, Ripley, West Union, and Whiteoak, with the Brown County Educational Service Center providing competition support. "The Brown County Educational Service Center (ESC) provided support for the eight Academic Teams competing throughout this season, and ESC will soon be awarding a First Place plaque and a trophy to the newly-crowned 2025-2026 Academic Team district champions- North Adams High School."

North Adams High School serves grades 7–12 at 96 Green Devil Dr, Seaman. The school reported enrollment of 462 for 2024–2025 with 27.00 teaching staff (FTE) and a student-to-teacher ratio of 17.11. Superintendent Ryan Shupert and Principal Karl Boerger oversee the Ohio Valley School District campus whose teams compete as the Green Devils and Lady Devils in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference; school colors are green and gold.
