Oink Inc. to open Huntingburg location early-March, catering at 420 E. 6th
Oink Inc. announced its Huntingburg spot at 420 E. 6th Street, the former Brick Oven Pizza, will house catering for Oink and Carodella’s and aim to open in early March 2026.

Oink Inc. Smokehouse & Catering said in a company post that its Huntingburg location at 420 E. 6th Street, the former Brick Oven Pizza site across from Memorial Gym, will open in early March 2026 and will become the home for the business’s catering operations for both Oink Inc. and its sister concept Carodella’s. The announcement, posted on Oink’s official channels, describes the site as offering counter service and “our full menu,” and lists the businesses’ contact as 833•OINK•BBQ.
The company’s post included construction progress details: “the addition has been built and exterior finishes are going on. Framing, electrical and so much more is happening inside.” The Oink posting also included map coordinate fragments, including @38.299195,-86.9586855,17z and 38.2991909, -86.9540774, and a 2026 copyright notice in the site footer.
Dubois County Free Press reported additional renovation specifics and quoted owner Tim Flick describing the project as a major gut and rebuild. The Free Press story says the original building measures 2,800 square feet and that a concrete pad has been poured to add about 1,200 square feet to accommodate a walk-in cooler and new kitchen. The article quotes Flick saying, “I bought it to really just move catering over there,” and notes that the interior has been stripped down to a shell.
The company and local reporting differ on menu scope and opening timing. Oink’s announcement promises customers can “enjoy our full menu” in a counter-service format, while Tim Flick told the Dubois County Free Press the Huntingburg restaurant will carry a lighter menu than the Jasper location, with counter service and offerings such as “Totchos, sandwiches and smash burgers and all that.” Flick added, “We want it to be a little more relaxed and casual.” On timing, Oink’s official post and site copy say the Huntingburg location “willl open in early march” and an Original Report cites “early March 2026,” while the Dubois County Free Press quotes Flick saying the second location “will open a second location in Huntingburg in mid-December.”

Oink’s public materials include operational hours listed for the business block: Tuesday through Thursday 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and closed Sunday and Monday. The Jasper restaurant at 408 Main Street will remain open, Oink’s post emphasizes: “No worries, our restaurant on Main Street in Jasper is not changing - so you get double the placees to enjoy more of our mouth-watering craft BBQ!”
Dubois County Free Press framed the move as a response to rising catering demand, saying the Southgate Shopping Center commercial kitchen was inadequate and Flick had been using a commercial kitchen at his home in St. Anthony to handle spillover. Oink’s post invited readers to “Stay tuned for additional details about our opening” and promoted sign-ups and social updates as construction continued.
