Owlcat Releases Patch Fixing Crusade and Combat Bugs in Pathfinder: Wrath

Owlcat Games released a series of substantive patches for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (Enhanced Edition), culminating in a large 1.1 update and a string of incremental builds that address crusade mechanics, turn-based combat bugs, and a raft of class and DLC issues. PC Gamer reported the 1.1 update was a 14.2GB download on Steam, with players on other platforms reporting even larger files, and praised changes that make crusade units easier to identify and add a quill icon for scrolls that teach spells. The studio's post-launch cadence stretches across multiple version numbers. Dlcompare highlighted Update 1.0.5g as a key hotfix release and noted Owlcat "have been working nonstop" to patch bugs, while the ongoing changelog on Fextralife documents builds up to 1.2.1h with granular fixes. PC Gamer summarized the trajectory as "Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has just hit version 1.1 following several smaller patches since its release in September," signaling a steady stream of updates since the September launch. Crusade management received visible attention in the 1.1 build. PC Gamer noted "changes to crusade management, including an option to control armies from the throne room instead of having to walk out of the city every time like a chump," and an author observation that "units in my crusade look quite different, making them easier to tell apart at a glance." These UI and workflow tweaks aim to reduce time spent micromanaging armies between field expeditions. Combat and turn-based fixes are another headline. PC Gamer reported "improved mounted combat in turn-based mode," and Fextralife logs include specific combat corrections: patch 1.1.5f fixed the Hold Person, Mass issue and resolved crashes on macOS that occurred when loading some areas, while other builds tuned enemy encounter balance so that random encounters were no longer "too strong for your level." Fextralife's changelog lists numerous targeted mechanics and DLC corrections by name. Among the verbatim fixes are "Character creation for a Devil character has been fixed in the DLC," "Inevitable Fate ability could be used more than once per day — fixed," "Newly created Swarm That Walks started with the 0 swarm size — fixed," and "Trickster’s Persuasion 3 rank could ruin some boss encounters, making them unbeatable — fixed." The log also calls out narrative and quest stability items such as "When you saved and reloaded, corpses could disappear along with the loot, including the quest items - fixed." Not all fixes are retroactive. Fextralife explicitly warns that some save-related bugs require earlier saves to recover lost content: "In some cases your companions could disappear never to be seen again, when they were not supposed to do it - fixed. However, if you have experienced such a disappearance already, you may need to load an earlier save, before that happened. For example, if Nenio disappeared when you entered the Lost Chapel area, you will need a save before you entered Lost Chapel." Known issues remain in the live builds. Fextralife notes that "Descriptions of Displacement, Blur, and Protective Talismans currently still contain errors - they reduce the incoming damage for a certain percentage instead of allowing to completely dodge the attack," and both Dlcompare and Fextralife caution that full patch notes are spoiler-heavy. Players installing the 1.1 Steam package should expect a large download and check their saves before applying updates; Owlcat's steady stream of builds from 1.0.5g through the 1.2.x series shows continued attention to combat, crusade, and DLC edge cases.
