Park City Rotary Opens 2026 Grant Applications; $40,000 Available, Feb. 22 Deadline
Park City Rotary opened applications for its 2026 Project Grant cycle, offering $40,000 for Summit County nonprofits; completed applications are due Feb. 22, 2026.

Park City Rotary Club has opened its 2026 Project Grant cycle, making $40,000 available to local nonprofits with projects that serve Summit County. Individual awards will range from $2,000 to $5,000, and completed applications must be submitted by Feb. 22, 2026. Awardees will be notified by March 4, 2026, and checks will be presented at the club’s awards luncheon on March 24, 2026.
Grants are intended for specific, time-limited projects. Applicants must identify a discrete project that will be completed within one year of funding. Eligible organizations must operate programs in Summit County and, according to local reporting, are expected to hold IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; applicants should confirm that requirement with the club when applying. Projects should also align with Rotary’s areas of focus, including promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.
Steve Yapp, grants committee chair, highlighted both the scale of funding and the local source of the grants. “This year, we are pleased to be able to award $40,000 to organizations seeking $2,000-$5,000,” Yapp said. He added that the grants are supported by community fundraising, noting, “We are proud to fund these grants with money raised at our annual Miners Day and Running of the Balls event.” Yapp also described past grantees as valuable to the community: “These organizations provide great value to our community,” and he said, “We are looking forward to learning about the projects that need our support this year.”
The 2025 grantee roster illustrates the range of projects the club has supported. Recipients included Summit County Community for Children’s Justice, Hope Alliance, GFWC Park City Athenaeum Club, Recycle Utah, Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch County, Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter, Summit Community Gardens/EATS, Summit Cooperative Weed Management Area, Summit County Clubhouse, Lucky Project, Friends of Ski Mining History, and Lectura Lounge. Those organizations span justice services, housing, conservation and environmental work, community gardening, local history and arts, and other community supports.
Applications and full guidelines are available on the Park City Rotary Club website. Applicants should review submission instructions carefully, verify whether fiscal sponsorship or other arrangements are acceptable, and confirm required attachments such as budgets and proof of nonprofit status. Meeting the Feb. 22, 2026 deadline will be essential; selections will be announced on March 4 and funding distributed at the March 24 luncheon.

For Summit County nonprofits, this grant cycle is a practical opportunity to finance a one-year project that addresses local needs. Prospective applicants should prepare project budgets and timelines now and contact Park City Rotary for any clarifications before the deadline.
