Plano Police Seek Public Tips After 17-Year-Old Todd Chance Lee Declared Endangered

Plano police are investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old Todd “Chance” Lee, whom the department has classified as an endangered, high-risk missing person under incident #26-31519 after he was last seen by family on the morning of Feb. 15, 2026, and reported missing to officers on Feb. 16, 2026. The department posted a social-media bulletin dated Feb. 16, 2026, seeking public help in locating him.

According to the police bulletin, Lee was reported missing from his residence in the 5000 block of K Avenue in Plano by his father. The bulletin lists the case as Plano Police incident #26-31519 and requests anyone with information to contact authorities immediately.

The department’s bulletin says that Chance has “previously exhibited signs of mental illness and is prescribed medication but currently does not have the medication with him.” That language reflects the reason Plano police are treating the case as high-risk and has prompted an endangered missing-person alert for the teen.

Lee’s family believes he may have traveled to Louisiana, the bulletin states, and investigators are treating that lead as part of the active search. The police post does not specify whether the Louisiana lead is based on phone activity, a tip, or family reporting, but it was highlighted as a possible destination for the teenager.

Plano’s endangered-teen alert comes after another recent local missing-teen incident that ended with the teen located. Earlier in February a 16-year-old Plano resident, Slade Williams, was briefly reported missing after leaving home the evening of Feb. 8 or the morning of Feb. 9; Williams did not have a cell phone, was not driving a car, and was later found and reunited with his family, according to the police bulletin cited in local reporting.

Investigators continue to work the case under incident #26-31519 and are following leads, including the family’s tip about Louisiana. The Plano Police Department’s social bulletin dated Feb. 16, 2026, remains the primary public notice for identifiable details and reporting instructions as the search for Todd “Chance” Lee proceeds.
