Prattville Council Approves Funding for Whetstone Sports Complex Restrooms, Concessions
Prattville council approved funding to add a restroom block and concession stand at Whetstone Sports Complex, authorizing the mayor to release funds to CAMCO Properties, LLC.

Prattville City Council approved a resolution on Feb. 23, 2026, authorizing parks-and-recreation improvements at the Whetstone Sports Complex that include a new restroom block and a concession stand. The council’s action permits the mayor to release project funds to CAMCO Properties, LLC for the work.
Council members voted at their Feb. 23 meeting to move the project forward; the resolution specifically names CAMCO Properties, LLC as the contractor and authorizes the mayor to release funds to that company for construction. The approved scope listed in the resolution centers on the restroom block and concessions building at the Whetstone facility in Prattville.
The resolution establishes a spending cap for the contract; the council authorized release of funds to CAMCO Properties, LLC for work not to exceed $99,. That figure was entered into the resolution as the maximum authorization for the contract payment tied to the restroom and concession improvements.

Whetstone Sports Complex is a city-managed facility in Prattville, and the Parks and Recreation improvements approved by the council are limited to site infrastructure upgrades listed in the resolution. By naming CAMCO Properties, LLC and setting the not-to-exceed amount, the council cleared the administrative step required for the mayor to execute payments and for the vendor to begin procurement or scheduling under the contract terms.
With the resolution passed, the next administrative step is release of funds by the mayor’s office to CAMCO Properties, LLC as authorized by the council. The authorization provides the municipal legal and budgetary approval the project needed to proceed at the Whetstone Sports Complex, moving the restroom block and concession stand from planning into the implementation phase under the terms approved by the Prattville City Council.
