Red Corsairs return with new plastic kits and battleforce box
Huron Blackheart's Red Corsairs are back as a full release with new plastic Raider infantry, a Reave-Captain leader, upgrades and a Lords of the Maelstrom battleforce. Rules for running a themed force will appear in The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant.

Huron Blackheart's Red Corsairs have been revealed as a full retail line, bringing new plastic kits and a Lords of the Maelstrom battleforce box to players who want a classic corsair, pirate-style Chaos Space Marine army. The release centers on a new Red Corsair Raiders plastic infantry kit built for fast, close assaults, paired with a Reave-Captain model, an upgrades and transfers pack, and supporting units bundled in the battleforce.
The Raiders kit is aimed at boarding-style play and aggressive infantry tactics. The Reave-Captain provides a dedicated leader sculpt to match the fast assault theme, while the upgrades and transfers pack gives the visual tools to turn generic Traitor Marines into a cohesive Red Corsairs force. Official images and kit composition released with the preview show a modern plastic approach that makes kitbashing and conversions easier than older metal or resin parts.
The Lords of the Maelstrom battleforce combines these new models with existing units to give players a ready-made force. In addition to the Raiders and Reave-Captain, the box includes Legionaries, Terminators and Traitor Guardsmen drawn from existing kits to round out numbers and provide heavy support. That mix makes the battleforce a practical buy for players who want a playable force out of the box while retaining scope for customization using the transfer sheet.
Rules and formal army options for running a Red Corsairs-themed force will arrive in the forthcoming Maelstrom narrative supplement titled The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant. The supplement will provide the army rules and thematic play options needed to field a Legiones Astartes warband with the corsair narrative intact. For now, the plastic releases and transfers give painters, converters and tacticians everything they need to start shaping a distinctive boarding-capable list and visual identity.

For hobbyists considering a purchase, the new plastics lower the barrier to entry for collectors and competitors alike. Pick the battleforce if you want immediate table-ready units and the upgrade sheet, or buy the Raiders and Reave-Captain separately if you prefer targeted kitbashes and conversions. Use the Raiders as a skirmish and objective-grabbing core, bring Terminators as shock troops, and slot Traitor Guardsmen into screening or objective-holding roles until the Maelstrom rules drop.
This release restores a swashbuckling flavor to Chaos Space Marines and gives players clear tools to build that story on the tabletop. Expect more detail and formal army rules when The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant arrives, and plan unit builds and paint schemes now so you can field your corsair fleet as soon as the rules land.
