Simone I. Smith, Sergio Hudson Debut 28-Piece Gold Jewelry at NYFW
A 28-piece gold collection priced from $800 to $5,000, including a Promise necklace with 5.5 carats of simulated diamonds, debuted on Sergio Hudson’s NYFW runway.

A 28-piece Simone I. Smith x Sergio Hudson jewelry collection that ranges from $800 to $5,000 debuted on Sergio Hudson’s runway at New York Fashion Week on February 13, 2026, pairing statement necklaces and sculptural earrings with a clear price ladder that includes an $800 Patience heart pendant and a $5,000 Promise necklace set with 5.5 carats of simulated diamonds.
The collection was unveiled as part of the Sergio Hudson Fashion House’s 10-year anniversary show and timed to Black History Month, a dual occasion the designers cast as central to the collaboration. “This collaboration is rooted in spirituality and heritage. Together, we selected powerful Adinkra symbols from the Akan people of Ghana - sacred emblems that represent God's protection, abundance, and patience,” Simone I. Smith and Sergio Hudson said in a joint statement, adding that each piece is meant to feel “regal and refined, infused with a subtle vintage soul.”
Materials and construction were specific and consistent across the runway and product notes. Pieces are crafted in 18K yellow gold over sterling silver and use brilliant simulated diamonds, carved mother-of-pearl and onyx inlays, and cultured freshwater pearls on select styles. The God’s Protection necklace is listed at $1,300 and the matching God’s Protection earrings at $1,100, each described as 18K yellow gold over sterling silver with simulated diamonds and carved mother-of-pearl inlays.
Simone I. Smith framed the collection around explicit Adinkra symbolism drawn from the Akan people of Ghana. “The symbols we chose carry deep meaning: God’s protection, patience, God’s child, abundance, and greatness,” she said, and added, “I wanted every piece to feel intentional-not just decorative, but meaningful. Each one represents something spiritual and affirming.” JCK mapped several motifs further, noting the heart shape for Patience, a wisdom knot signaling ingenuity and intelligence, and a star symbol for faith and belief in a supreme being.
Sergio Hudson positioned the jewelry as an extension of his runway narrative, focusing attention on jewelry as moment-making accessories. “Just seeing it all come together, I’m really focusing in on each look and making it a moment. I want each look to speak to something,” he said, adding that the runway presentation felt like a heightened version of his usual work.
Retail availability is limited to Simone I. Smith’s direct channel, where the collection is described as “infused with sacred symbolism and elevated craftsmanship.” No additional retail partners, launch date details, or inventory figures were published alongside the runway debut. The collaboration links Simone’s reputation for iconic hoops and sculptural silhouettes with Sergio Hudson’s decade of fashion shows, making the collection a deliberate exercise in heritage, faith, and luxury finishes.
