The Sims team published a Laundry List on January 6 that lays out the highest-priority community fixes slated for the next base-game patch, due the week of January 13. The document names player-voted top fixes, multiple save-corruption repairs, a broad retagging sweep for CAS and Build Mode, and several photo and painting data-loss fixes players have been reporting for months.

At the top of the list are the player-voted top five: clearer error messaging for the recurring "Server Error" when uploading to the Gallery or Library; completion of the privacy-mosaic clothing fix for Newborns, Infants, and Toddlers; resolving Sims idling while caring for Infants; fixing memorial portraits and graduation photos that lose image data and appear blank; and removing an incorrect "Miss Work/School" pop-up for Sims linked to Small Businesses. These are the issues the devs flagged as immediate priorities in response to community votes.

Save-corruption work targets two thorny scenarios. One fix addresses open-street objects that get "shelved" when traveling to apartments, which can remove items from the world unexpectedly. Another tackles a case where custom-venue schedules using a Romantic-Orientation role could cause endless loading or kick players back to Manage Worlds. Both fixes aim to reduce the risk of lost play sessions and corrupted worlds.

Photos and paintings received significant attention. The Laundry List promises multiple fixes to stop images turning black or white when saved to inventory, wall-mounted, or placed in storage. The Create Copy painting interaction should no longer produce blank canvases, and celebrity autographs are expected to stop appearing empty.

CAS and Build Mode will see widespread retagging and sorting corrections so items, hair, makeup, and clothing appear under the proper filters. Some objects also gained corrected functionality: the Lump of Clay is now sorted as a Kids Activity and grants Creativity skill for children, and several hairstyles have been reclassified as Afro-textured, Wavy, or Straight where appropriate.

The devs also noted several complex bugs still in progress, including investigating console crashes that followed update 2.13, missing numeric data for CAS Turn Ons/Offs, and eyelid-closing graphical issues. A short video overview accompanied the Laundry List and the team reminded players to back up saves and follow guidance for sharing affected saves when reporting crashes or missing lots.

Our two cents? Back up your saves before the patch hits, keep a spare test save to validate fixes, and include repro steps plus saved files when you report crashes or missing lots. Clearer error messages and fewer blank photos will make everyday life in the Gallery and CAS smoother, but community reports and shared saves are what keep the momentum going.
